Solution

Part – A

McCaffrey, R, et al. “The effect of an educational programme on attitudes of nurses and medical residents towards the benefits of positive communication and collaboration.” Journal of Advanced Nursing (2011): 293-301. English.

The article emphasizes the effectiveness of continuing education intervention on the communication of nursing professionals in the clinical setting. The educational intervention needs to focus on the requirement of interdisciplinary collaboration between the nurse professionals while systematically improving their critical communication proficiency. This eventually assists in resolving the complex healthcare discrepancies emanating from treatment conflicts and inadequate patient care inquiry. The educational intervention must focus on configuring mutual respect integrity, competence, caring attitude, and cultural awareness of the nursing professionals with the objective of effectively improving the patient care outcomes. The development of effective body language skills through role playing interventions is necessarily required with the objective of administering collaborating nursing care interventions for the systematic improvement of patient confidence and satisfaction rate in the clinical settings. Educational interventions require systematically enhancing the response time of nurses while promoting their interprofessional collaboration through positive communication in the context of improving the quality and effectiveness of patient care interventions across the hospital environment. The intended audience for this article will primarily be the nurse professionals and their subordinates because they need to cater to the basic needs of the patients and invest maximum time with them while utilizing therapeutic communication.

Metcalfe, S and A Putnam. “The Net Generation of Nursing: Keeping Empathetic Communication Alive.” Creative Nursing 19.1 (2013): 21-25. English.

The article emphasizes the need for empathetic conversation with the objective of configuring the trust and confidence of the treated patients on the proposed treatment interventions. Empathetic communication by the nurse professionals assists in evaluating the treatment needs, individualized requirements, and healthcare challenges to a considerable extent. Accordingly, nurses acquire the opportunity to customize healthcare interventions for the treated patients in the context of reducing their length of stay in hospital settings while concomitantly improving the quality of treatment approaches. Nurses need to develop skills related to the utilization of net-based learning in a manner to promote face-to-face interaction with the treated patients. The compassionate and empathetic expression of ideas and thoughts by the nurse professionals is necessarily required for effectively improving the satisfaction rate of the treated patients in the clinical settings. The preservation of communication skills is therefore highly necessary for improving the patient care outcomes across the hospital environment.  Nurses and physicians appear to be the audience of this article because they are the ones who utilize various patient communication strategies for improving the treatment outcomes. Empathetic administration of communication interventions by nurses and physicians is the greatest tool to elevate the quality of treatment interventions for the eligible patients.
