Write a report on a Conference room in Japan?

In the recent years, increased number of international associations has been witnessed in the business sector. Globalization has paved way for increased communication, opportunities and innovation in varied sectors. All these variables have not only enabled the presence of diversity in the workplace, rather has also opened market for increased consumer association and growth of organizations. With this in mind, focus towards international relations, development of cultural competence and learning of other language has been enabled in organizations. However, Takeshita (2016) notes, even as focus towards learning language competency been developed in the firms as part of the cultural competence, cultural inter- communications still remain an ineffective aspect addressed in the business sector. Through the present review, a case study focused on inter-communication between American and Japanese businessman in a conference room is assessed to understand the challenges of inter-communication, reflect upon recommendations to overcome such gaps in future.

Case overview

The setting is that of a Japanese conference room of Osatech- a Japanese video software company, which is having a meeting with the American video game company Videomart. The meeting is focused towards procurement of licensee agreement to sell Japanese software by Videomart. In the initial setting, it is evident that both the parties realize the mutual impact of this partnership on their respective business, and are hence willing for this alliance. The same is evident through the initial stages of the meeting. However, as the meeting progresses, a sense of digression from this response is noted, which eventually turns to a failed meeting.
