Give a Brief analysis of Knowledge Strategy of the APRM.

Reflective Statement 

The enrollment to this course Knowledge and Organisational Learning enabled me to study the interconnection between knowledge and organisational learning and how it helps to enhance organisational performance and its successful functioning over the long-term. Being employed in a knowledge-based organisation, this elective helped me to assess the current knowledge culture prevailing within my organisation through a survey of the knowledge flows. This helped me to identify the existing knowledge flow capacity and determine the future desired level for better organisational operations.

When assessing interlinks between the need for knowledge strategy and its implications of organisational performance, I learnt that the existing knowledge framework of an organisation is subject to five core dilemmas. I observed that my workplace is more entangled in exploiting the current knowledge rather than focusing on generating a flexible strategy that would suit future explorations. This enhanced me to map valuable knowledge resources through critical analysis. I utilised my critical thinking ability to identify the importance of each knowledge element and its accessibility.   

Employed in the ICT department of an organisation, I have experienced the influence of different agents on the knowledge flow. By plotting the knowledge landscape, this elective showcased me how knowledge plays an influential role in the internal and external environment of the organisation. I learnt that not only the connections but also the adaptability of the organisations to changes, and being agile and resilient are important.

Further, this elective taught me various tools and approaches that can be used to improve learning and the flow of knowledge within my organisation. It enabled me to determine the viability of current practices and to critically evaluate improvement plans that are best suited. I learnt that the success of a knowledge strategy remains with the collaboration of people who share similar interests and engage in knowledge sharing. This learning experience taught me to be up-to-date in the technology advancements in knowledge management. From this elective, I have become proficient on how to develop a suitable strategy that encompasses organisational learning and knowledge flow with several considerations in the backdrop and which have an associated strategic significance towards its implementation.
