Effective decision making is a great skill of the leaders and managers of the organisation. Decision making is a management tool. Business leaders have the responsibility to make the decision about every element of the business. The decision has to be influential for the organisation. Decision making skill is a combination of education, experience and intuition. There are many aspects of-of the decision-making the process. Decision plays a very important role for both business leaders and organisation (Pettigrew, 2014). This tool is part of four management function. The four management function are planning, organising, leading, and controlling.  


Importance of decision making

Decision making is a very important part of management. In a business organisation, everything depends on the decision. Without making a decision the managerial function of the organisation will not work for as expected. Decision making is the most important element to make active the managerial function (Anderson & Cochran, 2015). In the organisation without decision making any managerial function is impossible. Managers have to take the decision to make the employee efficient. The decision also able to evaluate the managerial performance of any organisation. Every plan and policy of the business taking place through decision making. The decision-making process is also used to find an alternative way to run the business as per the situation. This is the most important part of decision making.

Decision-making approach 

The managers make a decision from some different view. Three approaches are more important to take the decision. Managers of the organisations make a decision through the view of rationality, bounded rationality, and intuition (Shukla & Yadav, 2016). The rational approach of decision making is a process to make the decision among the possible choices which is based on the facts and reason. In this approach, the leaders and managers make some analytical period to take the decision. The rational decision describes the consistent aspects of the organisation. Bound rationality is a behaviour which rational within the parameters. The decision making process is limited by mental capacity as also another factor. This approach is also limited by an individual's ability. The satisfying is also a part of this approach. In this section, the acceptance of the solution is the main concern.
